I watched some of the badgering of Peter Strzok as they tried to turn what was essentially pillow talk into a conspiracy.
Now he shouldn't have use his government issued phone for these communications and on a different level maybe he should have honored his marriage vows, but these two failings do not a conspiracy make.
Its pretty ludicrous to watch these elected representatives try to spin this into something that will either help the dontard or help their party in the mid-terms.
They just couldn't do it.
I'm sure they will try to act like they got something, but they just didn't.
There wasn't anything to be got.
As Mr. Strzok pointed out at one point, the FBI is hardly a den of democratic operatives, it is in general a very conservative organization.
These are law enforcement professionals who deal with issue of national security and terrorism.
They are dedicated professionals but of course they aren't required to drop personal convictions at the door.
They don't conspire as a group to influence politics and apparently unknow to our reps, they are governed by the Hatch act which restrict political activity in your official capacity.
As I said the texts that should have been on private cell phones are simply idle talk between two people in a personal relationship, who viewed an individual candidate negatively, not his party or his voters.
A natural reaction to a sexist, homophobe who exhibits bias towards many and respect for none.

Lies and Pay Offs
Well not that its surprising, except maybe to people who refuse to believe reality, but we have found out that the medical letter used during the campaign was effectively a lie and that the money paid to Stormy Davis was ultimately from the dontard.
Not really surprising since the letter was incredibly non-professional and why would anyone else but the dontard lay out $130,000 to cover up an affair he had?
So what does it mean?
Since it is exactly what many people expected it simply confirms that the dontard continues to lie and fabricate stories for his true believers.
Being true believers, they will continue to believe what he wants them to, at least most of them.
The rest of us can simply shake our heads wonder how did we get here?
We have degenerated into people who don't trust authority and maybe this is the legacy of the 60s.
Of course those people now represent the authority we don't trust mostly.
Some of this goes back to the prostitution of our news media, which started with yellow journalism, had a brief period of glory in the middle of the last century but has now become nothing but a ratings game.
The internet has now enabled all sorts of stories to circulate, some real, some fake and some comic, but often the difference is hard to discern.
There is no clear voice of truth that people trust, we have different voices for different truths for different people.
Something is bound to change, but until it does, we pick the truth we like and consider all the others fake.
It doesn't work at all, but it what we got.

Predictably Unpredictable
In what should be no surprise to anyone, the current administration is both ineffective and chaotic.
The number of people who come and go is setting records and because the dontard thinks the world revolves around him, his policies don't accomplish what he thinks they will.
Take his trade war with China. China has been aggressive in growing certain industries and possibly some retaliatory actions were justified. However, unilaterally announcing a set of tariffs that will create very few jobs and increase cost for everyone else is simply irrational.
Follow that up by a couple of rounds of retaliation and you are looking at destroying a lot of red state farm economies which will result in surplus commodities, expansion of competition in other countries and less exports.
Of course it may not go that far as, at least for now, cooler heads may prevail, but if he thinks the American farmer is willing to bite the bullet because the dontard says they should, well, he should think again.
We have cabinet members who in addition to being inept and unqualified are also trying to milk the taxpayer for everything they can. The EPA director is the latest of them to be disclosed, but I suspect its pervasive.
He is now talking about undoing the compromise spending bill he recently signed because it increased spending. DUH?
The estimates of the impact of the tax cuts with the spending bill are dire indeed and raise some issues about the future credit worthiness of the country.
His decision to announce a troop withdrawal in Syria may or may not have led to the chemical attack or the Israeli raid but its at least a little bit contributory. What can he do now, its so complex it must be hurting his brain.
Meanwhile the FBI is raiding his attorneys office which he considers and attack on America. No, America is rooting out potential obstruction.
