I used to wonder how the people of countries like Italy and Germany allowed dictators to take over the country.
Unfortunately I am seeing how public indifference and lack of awareness allows the erosion of people's liberties.
Maybe not yours, but if you think it is OK to take young children away from their mothers, make them sleep in cages and fail to provide them adequate care, you have started down the path to totalitarianism.
All people deserve to be treated how we would want to be treated. It doesn't matter if they are from a different country, practice a different religion or have a different skin tone, they are people.
One we start down the road of them versus us we are on a dangerous road indeed. It generally ends up badly for
