While negotiations continue within their party it looks like the current administration is going to produce a another significant piece of legislation under reconciliation that does about half of what they tried for.
Some are acting like this is a defeat.
Well getting so much of what the progressives, Democrats and the American People wanted is hardly a defeat.
Also, the things they didn't get can be passed if they can get enough seats in the next election.
I see a lot of op-eds talking about how the Democrats control all three parts and should be able to deliver on their promises.
Well they really don't, as long as we have a filibuster that allows the minority party to hold up most legislation.
These articles, possibly as part of a strategy, act like the majority is enough.
It isn't.
Still with a recalcitrant Republican party and a few nervous Democrats, things are getting done.
Its progress.
